Manual Entry Arrives: Just Add Data!

Last week, on the summer solstice, we quietly released a new version of Count. It Journey which includes the most-requested feature by users and admins: Say hello to direct data entry on the app!

Count. It did not set out to build a fitness tracker. Apple and Google, among others, do a very nice job on that. 😉 Our mission is to create community, and inspire motivation with our challenges among groups and teams. We take an ocean of personal fitness and wellness data and make it social — in fun, challenging, (and non-creepy!) ways!

However, it became clear since launch that adding at least some fitness-logging capability to the app would be helpful. Users did not want to have to leave Count. It and open another app to add their exercise. Well, we heard you, and so, (drum roll please), every Count. It Journey challenge now boasts its own one-click data entry form.

How does it work? If “Manual Data Entry” is turned on for their challenge, our new in-app data entry form provides users a selection of over 140 activities to choose from—more or less the same as those supported by Apple, Google, Fitbit, etc. (For full details check this nifty Help article.)

To all those who politely requested this feature, many thanks, have fun, and keep the suggestions coming.

Last but not least, the second most requested feature is set to drop in the coming weeks….
