Insight Timer and Headspace — the former free, the latter not — have been on our radar for years. But here comes Calm, which picked up Apple’s “App of the Year” award in 2017, and just raised $88 million from A-list venture capitalists. This puts the company’s valuation at roughly (exhale sharply) $1 billion. This news came via Morning Brew, one of our fave daily financial news sources, and their takeaway is interesting:
